BC Society of Respiratory Therapists
The BC Society or Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) is supporting the BC Lung Association’s Climb the Wall – an annual stair climb fundraiser in downtown Vancouver in support of the 1 in 5 British Columbians who living with lung conditions.
Not only are we climbing in support of the 1 in 5, we’re also co-hosting a lung health education area at the event itself where Climb the Wall participants, volunteers and observers can get answers to their lung health management questions!
Respiratory therapy is a health profession devoted to assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, management and care of patients with lung health-related problems. Many of us play integral roles in helping lung patient, their doctors and caregivers achieve the best possible quality of life – as well as in helping the public in general take steps to prevent or minimize lung health problems.
In our support - and in recognition of BC's lung healthcare community - I hope you will contribute what you can, be it $5 (the price of a cafe latte) or more. Every contribution counts - and every contribution big and small is much appreciated!
All event proceeds go towards much-needed lung health and air quality research, education, and lung patient support programs across the province.
