Welcome to My Climb the Wall Page!
Help me support the 1 in 5!
In 2014 I climbed the Wall in 17:57. In 2018 I climbed the Wall in 11:42. In 2020 I climbed the Wall in 11:52.
When I originally did the Stair Climb 6 years ago, I barely did any kind of workout or fitness activity. My job entails a lot of work at a keyboard and I didn't make time for taking care of myself. That first climb I thought I was going to pass out on the stairs and I vowed never to do it again. The climb sparked a change, despite kicking my butt, and made me consider the kind of shape I was in and what kind of shape I wanted to be in.
It's seven years later and I'm still climbing for my dad, an avid smoker for most of his life, but now I'm climbing for me too.
I will be participating in the BC Lung Association's Climb the Wall: Virtual Step Challenge 2021.
My average steps per day from 2020 is 3,560. My average for January so far is 5,500. I’m going to try to make my goal daily average for February 6,500!
For those of you counting that’s 182,000 steps for the whole month.

I know so many of us have been impacted by lung disease, either personally, or through those we love. I am challenging my lungs for those that simply cannot. The money we raise will support the BC Lung Association's efforts in air quality and tobacco prevention initiatives, patient support programs and lung health medical research. We all breathe the air. The fight belongs to all of us.
