Welcome to Darcy Murdoch's Climb the Wall Page!
Well, it's very close to five years since I've had my double lung transplant due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. Hard to believe! Because of the incredible generosity of my donor family, Inow lead a healthy life. I exercise for one hour, four times a week, which is enabling me to be strong enough to take on this worthy challenge. Working as a singer makes everything all the better. Hey, these pipes are workin'!
I'll be participating in the BC Lung Association's Climb the Wall: the Stairclimb for Clean Air 2020, happening February 23, 2020. At this unique event, participants challenge themselves against the 48 storeys of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel (that’s 739 steps) and collect donations in support of the BC Lung Association's efforts and outreach in the lung health community. In 2017, I climbed the 48 flights twice and plan to do the same this year.
A lot of us have been impacted by lung disease, either personally or through those we love. I am challenging my lungs for those who simply cannot. From my donations, the money we raise will support the BC Lung Association's efforts with lung health medical research, air quality and tobacco prevention initiatives, and patient support programs.
If you can, please donate online to my personal fundraising page, provided in the link below. A tax receipt will be issued automatically via email. For more information about Climb the Wall: the Stairclimb for Clean Air 2020 please visit www.stairclimb.ca.
