Welcome to My Climb the Wall Page
Welcome to Clune's donation page!!
Over the last few years we have lost two family members to lung related diseases; my grandfather to lung cancer (2017) and my wife's grandfather to lung complications (2015). It is time to step up and fight back. We are making huge steps towards finding a cure to the different lung diseases that affect so many. This event raises money for all lung related illnesses and complications, including funding programs at children's hospital. My son Greyson faced a lung related issue when he was born and was supported by the amazing program and staff at children's hospital.
It was a special and proud moment for me to be able to show my granddad that in 2017 we were the top fundraising department. Last year we won the top fundraising department again, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall! This year let’s do it again! Please show any support you can and help the Burnaby Firefighters fight for clean air!
Last year our team had a great showing and we banded together to climb for our friend and colleague Ken "Tinman" Kinney. After a long and hard fought battle with lung cancer Ken sadly passed away in June 2019. Our team will once again be competing in this event, and this year it is in memory of Tinman. Please donate what you can and help us Fund research for all lung related illnesses.
I will be participating in the BC Lung Association's Climb the Wall: the Stairclimb for Clean Air 2020, happening February 23, 2020. At this unique event, participants challenge themselves against the 48 storeys of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel (that’s 739 steps) and collect donations in support of the BC Lung Association's efforts and outreach in the lung health community.
I know so many of us have been impacted by lung disease, either personally, or through those we love. I am challenging my lungs for those that simply cannot. The money we raise will support the BC Lung Association's efforts in air quality and tobacco prevention initiatives, patient support programs and lung health medical research. We all breathe the air. The fight belongs to all of us.
Please donate online to my personal fundraising page, provided in the link below. A tax receipt will be issued automatically via email. For more information about Climb the Wall: the Stairclimb for Clean Air please visit www.stairclimb.ca.
