Join me in the fight against lung disease.
Wow, this is awesome.
This coming weekend, September 8th and 9th, I’m riding my 16th Annual Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath, BC's largest event to raise awareness and funds for lung disease and research. I will be cycling the 200km journey from South Surrey to Cultus Lake (and back) in support of the BC Lung Association’s continued efforts in the lung health community.
My family has a history of lung disease. My father, brother, and an uncle were long time smokers. All died from lung cancer. My mother had COPD. She attended breathing classes put on by the BC Lung Association.
I had childhood asthma. and now recently, I have been diagnosed with early onset COPD. This explains why I experiencied asthma like symptoms during the second day of last year's Bike Trek. And also while out riding of late.
I know what it’s like when it’s difficult to breathe.
Thank you to all of you for your ongoing support. I’m looking forward to this event and I am thrilled to be participating where I am able to bring hope to those 1 in 5 Canadians who suffer from a lung illness.
Donate to this important cause and together, we can make a difference! THANK YOU in advance for your contribution.
When you can't breathe, nothing else matters.
