Your Personalized Webpage
Each Trekker receives their very own fundraising webpage upon registering for the event. Your fundraising page can personalized with a photo and message to your donors. Donors can easily search your name from the main Home page on the event website (www.bicycletrek.ca) to donate to your page. You can also forward your donors the URL of your fundraising page. The system instantly generates an automatic thank-you and pdf tax receipt. For instructions on how to access your fundraising page and Participant Center, please see the Participant Center User Guide.

I am participating in the BC Lung Association’s Bicycle Trek for Life & Breath. I’ll be cycling 200km on September 9th & 10th in support of the fight against lung disease. The money I raise will contribute to medical research, asthma education, clean air initiatives, programs to help young people live tobacco free, and so much more. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!
Want to feel like a superhero for the rest of the day? It’s easy. Just donate to my Bicycle Trek team. Then all you’ll need is the cape (not included).
My team [name] and I are looking to raise [goal] for the Bicycle Trek for Life & Breath! We’re only [amount] away from reaching it and we would love your help! All proceeds go to the BC Lung Association!
If you don't post from your Bicycle Trek fundraising webpage, make sure to include the link! Your photos work the best, but if you need one of ours, just click the thumbnail below to save.
Video content is the Beyonce of social media right now. Why not make a short 30 second video of you and your teammate talking about doing the event and asking people to donate to you; post it on Facebook, your Bicycle Trek website, Instragram & Youtube. Don't forget to include your website link!
Beyond just asking for donations, there are many ways you can raise money for the TREK. Some great ideas include:
Budget & Expenses
Try to keep expenses as low as possible. If you do require items, ask individuals or local companies to see if they can donate supplies or offer discount on material. If you require an official letter of endorsement from the BC Lung Association, we’d be happy to provide one. Email us.
Gaming Licenses and FormsIf you want to hold a raffle or any other gaming activity, please ensure that you apply for a license from the BC Government’s Gaming Branch. For more information, visit them online at http://www.hsd.gov.bc.ca/gaming/index.htm.
