Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering for RUSH!
This exciting & fun-filled event seeks individuals with varying skill sets and experience. If you enjoy being outdoors and love having a great time - ALL while supporting a great cause, join us!
- Volunteer shifts are between 8:00am-5:00pm
- Wear casual and comfortable clothing. You will get a RUSH T-Shirt on event day to wear and keep!
- We encourage volunteers to take public transit, please refer to weekend transit schedules (reduced service).
- Start line & Finish line will be at Big Rock Urban Brewery
In the morning, volunteers will help set up the Start Line then help with Registration. There will be 2 positions at registration: registrar or runner.
Registrar: Will be in charge of signing in the RUSH team. Collecting any event day donations and taking down credit cards numbers for FUNDRAISERS who have not met the $300/team minimum.
Runner: Will be paired with a registrar to help retrieve the participant's shirt and race #.
After everyone is on their way (10:00am onwards), registration closes and the team will start setting up for the Finish Line! Volunteers will also be recording the times and placement of returning teams.
The main responsibility for a checkpoint volunteer is to facilitate the checkpoint activity. You will be working with a team of 2-5 volunteers led by a Checkpoint Captain. Due to the high confidentiality nature of RUSH, more information will provided closer to the event.
We will be celebrating the achievements of our RUSHers! To make it awesome, we will need some help with facilitating the after party. This will include tasks such as, set-up, take down, line control, promotion and encouraging registration for Rush 2018. The After Party will be held at Big Rock Urban Brewery from 1pm-5pm.
